Sarah Velasco (she/her)
Sarah Velasco is an Atlanta-based actor and marketing professional. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Sarah earned her BFA in Theatre Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a 2022–2023 acting apprentice at Actor’s Express before stepping into her role as Marketing Director in 2024. Sarah has been in theatres for as long as she can remember, and there is nothing in the world she feels more passionate about. She extends her deep gratitude to Actor’s Express and to all the incredible artists who have built—and continue to build—Atlanta’s vibrant theatre community.

Audio Designer
Max Piper (they/them)
Max Piper is an Atlanta based actor and sound designer. They have a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Loyola University New Orleans, and was the lighting/sound design apprentice for Actor’s Express’ 2022/23 season. They were light/sound board operator for several shows, including Urinetown by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis, Oh, To Be Pure Again by Kira Rockwell, Prayer For The French Republic by Joshua Harmon, and Jesus Hopped The A Train by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Their most recent work has been with Contemporary Classics Theatre, where they played the role of David in Mae West’s The Drag, the sound technician for their production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and the sound designer for their production of The Verge by Susan Glaspell. They thank Sarah, Freddie, and all of Atlanta for the opportunity to be sound designer for Theatre People.

Videographer
Brody Young (he/him)
Brody is an experienced project photographer and videographer. He has worked at several venues taking photos and videos for theatre productions, concerts, sports, and more. On the side, he produces his own projects and has made over 6 short films and written almost 40 scripts, as well as his own personal photography, which is all his own recording and editing. His philosophy is to create high-quality, low-budget work for himself and others, because he believes great work comes solely from one’s own creativity!

Production Assistant
Emma Jean Scott (she/they)
Emma Jean Scott is a recent graduate of Oglethorpe University, where she studied Theatre and Film. It is also where she made first contact with Actor’s Express through their co-production program! Emma Jean also serves as the Administrative Director of the Suzi Bass Awards, a freelance casting director for local films, and has served in the literary department at the Alliance Theatre. Theatre has always held a special place in her heart, and she is thrilled to help create a space for artists to share their stories.
